An awesome option to get away from some of the crowds. While no longer a secret, it holds large Brown Trout and plenty of 14 to 18-inch Rainbow Trout. If you are looking for a fish of a lifetime, the Jefferson is one of your best options for 2ft+ browns. Fish that large are rare, but the Jefferson can and does produce massive fish every year. This river fishes best on cloudy, overcast days with streamers but has decent hatches of mayflies as well as the occasional 'lights-out' hopper fishing.  In addition, one of the best spin-fishing rivers around!
