A great river for longer floats & lazy dry-fly fishing. Home to large rainbows and brown trout, as well as one of the best places on earth to catch native Yellowstone Cutthroat. The Yellowstone is back and fishing exceptionally well after the historic floods in 2022. A great river to learn on as it is a bit less technical than some of our other waters. A great river if you stay in Bozeman for business and still want to get out for a float. It is a true freestone river, so conditions are critical to pay attention to, but when they are right, it is hard to beat hopper fishing on this great stretch of trout water.
